I installed the Software-Appliance Image on an old XG105, to use it at home with the Home Use Licence.
Now the appliace is starting and I can login with display and keybord. LAN1 is on, but I can not ping 172.16.16.16. And I did not get a DHCP address.
Where is my fault?
Thanks a lot,
Try setting a manual address in your pc.
XG115W - v19.5 GA - Home
Test machine - Asus P10S-i E3-1225v5, 6gb, 4 intel NICs, v19.5 GA

The interface was manuel set to 172.16.16.2/255.255.255.0
No ping and no webinterface.
Try moving the cable between interfaces until one show it is alive.
If you install the software Image, it could be a different port setting than expected.
Use the console to verify the ports: ethtool eth0 / eth1 / eth2 etc.
Check which Port is currently connect and go one by one to see, if the order is mixed up.
I did it because this is the behaviour of the SG. But without success.
LED on LAN1 is on.
Is that the wan port or lan port? You should have two ports active, what does the console show when both ports have cables connected?
Okay. I found it. LAN1=Port4 WAN=Port1
If happy, please tick verify answer to show your issue has been resolved.
I think there was a script for reorganize the Ports on SG... Is there any for the XG?
No there is no such script to do this. As of now, you need to live to work with this kind of order.
