Hi,
Had anyone found a way to deploy Sophos Connect to dozens of Mac clients? It seems to try to add the menubar icon app to startup items rather than launchservices (daemons?) and is getting stuck. We have about 60 standard users (no admin access) and we need to deploy the new VPN for our XG.
Thanks,
Jeff

Thanks. Yes, I understand what's involved in deploying. The issue is that, as the installation package is put together right now, there's no way to deploy the app without an alert requiring user interaction with an Administrator password. We have dozens of computers, and use a combination of Mosyle and Munki to manage the deployments. All are standard users which, on a Mac, means they do no have admin access.
Also, the second link is interesting because it seems to indicate the sophos connect client does not run on ARM. But it does. I have an ARM machine and have been testing it and it works. But I have admin access so understood what to do when I got the privacy prompt asking for control of System Events.
Thanks,
Jeff
Hello JeffCooper,
You may would like to check the following - Installer command-line options for Mac: https://docs.sophos.com/central/Customer/help/en-us/PeopleAndDevices/ProtectDevices/EndpointProtection/CentralMacCommandLineOptions/index.html
NOTE: Once it is installed, the user might need to give permissions to Sophos.
Thanks & Regards,
