SMC IOS can´t sync, "Authentification failed"

Hello,

we have some ipad devices from ios 7 up to 9.2, which can´t sync from the SMC app anymore (or for a lomger time), I still can push apps and profiles, but the users can´t do it by themselfes to refresh the recommended apps list.

When doing a sync, the error "Sync failed, authentification failed" appears

    have you perhaps updated you SMC server from version 4 to version 5 and the apps are still using an old SMC 4 app?

    If so, you have to update the SMC app to the latest version to make sure communication is possible.

    If the above does not apply, please raise a support request providing a set of SMC server logs and an iOS device log.

    How to get these logs is described in our articles 121306 and 113906.

    Please confirm that the devices are running 9.2.
    Apple has released an update to 9.2.1 very recently that addresses this particular issue, and updating your iOS version to 9.2.1 should resolve your issue.
