We're getting many well know sites, such as Google, Office365 and Youtube, suddenly being blocked as "UNcategorised" and therefore blocked in our Web Control Policy. Is anyone else seeing similar things?
Hi colly72,
Thanks for reaching out to the Sophos Community Forum.
I don't see any recent changes when checking the site categories on our end. Could there have been pending reboots or updates on the affected device when the issue occurred?
Was this issue occurring across your environment or only on a small subset of devices?

We're still getting this problem this morning and as Rafael also mentions, it's affecting sites like MS365, Google, Youtube etc. Turning off SSL inspection is not really a solution for us and the point about this is that it's only started affecting these sites, since Friday, so something must have changed with the way Endpoint is working.
Hi Colly72,
I am encountering the same issue, the solution I found is to disable the Web Control policy or add exceptions for SSL/TLS decryption on HTTPS to access certain websites. I have also posted about this issue ( https://community.sophos.com/intercept-x-endpoint/f/discussions/148446/problems-sign-in-into-office-com-after-reebot-to-apply-endpoint-updates---january-2025 )
Did you find a solution to the problem?
Thank you.
Regards,
Rafael
Hello,
We appreciate your reaching out to the Sophos Community Forum.
We have identified an issue in which the 'web Control' feature appears to block or warn common sites with an "Uncategorized" warning.
Please refer to this for a workaround:
You’ll need to amend your web control policy to not block or warn against uncategorized sites as per the below steps
This bug will be addressed in the FTS 2024.3.x-MR2 release.
Regards,
