Phishing limit not decreasing after campaign ends.

Sorry if someone else has already mentioned/asked this. I couldn't find any other posts related. So hopefully I'm just missing something and it's an easy fix on my end.

When running a phishing campaign it all goes as expected, reporting works great as well, training is effectively taken and reported back. I close the campaign. But afterwards the limit hangs and retains most of the whole number of users. It's dropped down 100 or so here and there, but it's still saying we've used up over 1k of our 1.4k.

All current campaigns have been ended/canceled. What suggestions do you have to take this number all of the way down to zero? My understanding of this would be it's active phishing emails that are sent out and being tracked by a campaign. Then once the campaign ended. It would return all of the used phish threat licensed emails back to you, reducing your limit.

Please let me know if I'm missing something or misunderstanding the process.

Thank you,

Robert

  • Hello Robert,

    Thank you for the info.

If I am not mistaken, the info gets calculated every day for each user that received a campaign. Phish Thread records the email used, and adds it to the count of used licenses for the next 30 days, and updates the count.

So let's say if your license shows 0 usage, and you send a campaign to 100; the license will update to 100 users; then the next day, if you send to the same 100 users and 20 new users, your license will show now as 120, (since you can send a campaign for 30 days to the same email address used previously without using any other license) now let's say you didn't send any campaign after the second day, the License count would remain at 120 for 30 days, and during the new cycle, it would show 20 because of the 20 emails sent on the second day, but the next day it should show license count 0 (given no new emails are sent to any Phish Threat user).

In any case, I will confirm internally.

    Regards,
