I need to deploy a software in a subset of domain computers.
How can I prevent Sophos from scanning the process that install the software?

You would have to exclude the processes. As far as I know, the most used installer process is msuiexec, hence you may add that to the exclusion list. I would like to keep you informed that excluding this installer process is not recommended.

You are right, in this case, the setup(1) has to be added to the exclusion list. Let me know if that helps resolve the issue.

Even if I add it, when I try to install the software I can see the SAVService process (see the picture below) and the software takes time to begin with the installation.
I also disabled the on access scan on this particular computer (see picture below) but the software likewise takes time to begin with the installation.
