Blocking all websites but have some exceptions.

Hello Sophos Community!

 

I have been looking around but had no luck.

 

I have about 4,000 machines in my organization but there are a handful that are shared 'crew' computers. The idea is that we block all websites on these crew machines but have a handful that are allowed such as the company website and portal.office.com and a few other.

 

Any ideas on how I can achieve that?

    Hi cjsmith,

    You can block each and every category in the Web Control policy. Through web control you cannot block the internet in its entirety, this is only done by categories and additionally, if there are additional sites outside the scope of the categories that are listed, you can tag them and set the actions for them to be blocked.

    The websites which you want the users to visit can be exempted following the steps outlined here.
