Internal Website - Sometimes loads Sophos logon Page

Hi,

We have a customer who has had a new firewall installed. The customer hosts a website internally that can be accessed internally and externally. We have had reports that when a member of the team tries to load the site internally they are taken to the sophos logon page? But this never happens when it is accessed from outside of the customers network?

Any ideas?

  • Hi  ,

Thanks for reaching out to Sophos Community and hope you are well.

May I ask if you are referring to Sophos UTM Firewall? or Sophos Firewall XG/S?

    Also:

-please share the Sophos logon page that is prompting that they are mentionaing

-and how are they accessing the website internally?, is there nat loopback/U-turn NAT configured on the firewall rules?

    -please share also network diagram.

Thanks for your time and patience and thank you for choosing Sophos.

  • Hi Neil and welcome to the UTM Community!

If this is a question about Webserver Security, this can be solved with split DNS.

    Cheers - Bob
