I've been testing dialup connections on 5.203 and have run into a couple of problems. My goal is to have it setup to failover to dialup so that I can gain access to the systems in case of a primary interface failure as well as have do VPN failover, but I've been testing it as a normal interface as well.
On to the problems:
1. When reconfiguring a dialup interface to a backup, it won't automatically fail over. Something gets stuck. If I delete the interface and re-create it, failover then works as expected and the line dials out.
2. If the first attempt to connect via dialup fails, ASL never appears to attempt to redial. I've waited probably 30 minutes after a failed dial attempt, but no redials. How often is it supposed to retry, or does it retry at all? This problem surfaces with the dialup interface configured as a normal interface and backup interface.
