Floor Plan Size

Hi,

currently, the file size is limited to 1MB in the backend. We have a story (CWIFI-2789) in the backlog to change this to 5MB. There is no limit on the dimensions. 

If more people are affected by this please let us know and we'll raise the priority of this issue.

Thanks for the information.  I was able to shrink the JPEG and it imports now.  I like the idea of the 5mb limit in the future, that should accommodate most maps.  One question with this, and it might be more appropriate to open another thread.  But now that I have the floorplan in there, it doesn't show any AP's to place on the map.  It just shows the simulated one.  Should this be showing my AP's to drag onto the floorplan or am I doing something wrong?

Hi Dan,

did you add the AP to the site already? If you edit the site and add the desired AP, it should appear in the list of placeable APs for any floor of this site.

Yeah, that was my bad. I didn't add the AP to the actual Site, missed that step.  Now that its in there I saw where I can drag that onto the floor plan.  So all is good there, I have a couple feature requests regarding this but will throw it in the other forum.

I created CWIFI-3468 to improve the messaging in this situation. Idea: when there is no AP, we can tell you what to do or even allow adding APs on the spot.
