when i used sophos utm i see in the email spam report the sophos utm is success remove spam emails but now i used sophos xg i see in the email spam report the sophos xg accepted the spam emails why why why :)
if you are using an external email servers, I think you are catching your email using IMAP/POP3/STMP protocols so as I said you cannot block spam email, but only change the object headers.
On UTM there is the POP3 daemon who is able to catch and block spam emails.
