DNS host entry not respected if CNAME in external DNS.

Hi,

I have an external DNS A record (server.domain.com = external IP) for connections from the Internet.
For internal use, I created a DNS host entry in Sophos FW server.domain.com = 192.168.1.10
This works as expected.

However when I create a CNAME in the external DNS (server1.domain.com -> server2.domain.com = external IP) the DNS host entry in Sophos seems to be ignored.

DNS host entry: server1.domain.com = 192.168.1.100
internal is now referenced to the external IP address.
also if I add another DNS host entry server2.domain.com = 192.168.1.100

Is what I am seeing correct?
Or am I missing something?
