DoS setting between SD-RED60 and SD-RED50

I wonder some of my client uses SD-RED 60 and 1 cx use SD-RED 50 (that I give them to POC). currently they use SD-RED 60 and have issue about DoS setting make traffic random disconnect . So they have a question "Why SD-RED50 don't have this issue but SD-RED 60 have impact from DoS setting"

Is it cuz Bandwidth between RED50 and RED60 different?

  • Hello  ,

Thank you for reaching out to the community, both the RED series and SD RED series uses the same ports so connection should 'nd be a problem in first place
    TCP 3400 + UDP 3410 where:
    > TCP port 3400 (Control Connection, using SSL, authenticated with mutual X509 cert check)
    > UDP port 3410 (Encapsulated traffic, AES256 (enc), SHA1-HMAC (auth))

Yes but in terms of performance there is a lot of improvement and the main benefits it offers is as following:

    1. Improved Performance:  SD-RED 20 +177%, SD-RED 60 +136%
      • SD-RED 20 =250 Mbps vs RED 15(w) 90 Mbps
      • SD-RED 60 = 850 Mbps vs. 360 Mbps
    1. New and More Flexible Connectivity Options
      • SFP Port for Fiber, Modular Bay for Wi-Fi 5 or 3G/4G Module,
      • Power-over-Ethernet ports (SD-RED 60 only)
      • Micro-USB
    2. Power Redundancy
      • 2nd power supply option
    3. 5-Year Return-and-Replace Warranty
      • 1 year on legacy models
    4. Plus: Many more such as:
      • new mounting options (wall mount) and kits (DIN rail)
      • newer CPU/platform
      • lower pricing on SD-RED 60
