http://www.gstatic.com/generate_204 error page with Chrome where IE11 works

Hi,

SFOS is at 18.0.5, running 2xXG125 in cluster. We are trying to access URL over VPN link (not public outside VPN network. We use STAS for auth purpose. When we go to this URL using latest Chrome we get first this:

and after hitting connect:

on on the other side we have same issue with latest Edge version but with bit more information in URL:

Using IE11 actually works. All of this is on same workstation. I have read some workarounds on web but still have issue. Any idea where to look?
