I'm working on getting BGP working with Azure. Apparently it is recommended to use an APIPA for BGP since you cannot use your public IP address of the Sophos XG 230.
How do you set the BGP IP address on an XG 230? I already have the Azure IPSEC tunnel (using a tunnel interface) established and passing traffic
Thanks!
Hi Karnov,
Thanks for reaching out to the Community!
Check out the following document for more information: Sophos XG Firewall: How to configure BGP over RBVPN
Thanks,
Hi thanks, I've looked over that document, but that does not give me information on how to set the BGP IP address of the Sophos XG.
I already have an IPSEC tunnel using the VTi (tunnel interface) working.
Any ideas where I set the BGP IP address on the XG firewall?
Hi Karnov,
It’s under CONFIGURE > Routing > BGP > Add.
Reference document: Sophos XG Firewall: How to configure BGP
Thanks,
Thanks but that is adding a neighbor's IP address, not the BGP IP address for the Sophos XG itself.
We were considering deploying out Sophos XGs to our branch offices, but at this point, I'm going to probably bail and scrub the Sophos XG route and go with a true enterprise solution not this mickey mouse stuff.
