Is there any way to block only specific page of a website?

Hi everyone, I am a new user of sophos firewall, that's why I am having a problem while using it. I am learning to block webpage. I am continuously trying to block the specific page of a website, but I can't find any way to block only specific page. I've tried to find it on google but all the results are for blocking the whole domain. Now I am trying to block only this page https://detoxteawizard.com/baetea-review/ not the whole domain. But I am unable to block it. Is there any way to do it?

Thank you!

  • NOTE: I edited this post as one of my colleagues pointed out that my initial solution would have unintended consequences - blocking the same path on multiple sites/domains.

First of all, it is only possible to block specific pages within an HTTPS web site if you have configured your firewall to perform decryption of HTTPS content. Without decryption, the firewall can only act on the overall domain/hostname part of the URL. The detail path of the URL is only sent within the encrypted connection between the browser and the website. For more information on how to enable HTTPS decryption, see this KB article: https://community.sophos.com/kb/en-us/132997

If HTTPS decryption is enabled, there are two steps to doing this:

Step one: Create a custom category entry for the URL

Go to Web > Categories and click on 'Add'. You'll need to give the category a name, something like 'Locally blocked sites'. Next, add the URL to 'Domain' . You don't need to worry about any of the other options.

Later on, if you want to block more URLs, you could just add them to this custom category instead of creating lots of individual ones.

Step two: Create a policy rule to block the custom category

Go to Web > Policy and locate the web policy that is configured to be used in the relevant firewall rule. Select the appropriate policy and click the '+' button to add a new rule at the top of the policy. Select the category you just created, and set the action to block. Don't forget to click the 'on' toggle to enable the rule.

You should now find that attempting to browse that URL will be blocked:
