Backup & restore different XG model

Hello,

I have a question about the backup & restore possibility on the XG Firewall.

I installed a demo model of a XG210 rev.2 for a custommer in order to test it because this is the only model I could get in demo from my reseller, but the final model to sell will be a XG135 rev.3.

I configured the XG210 to work perfectly with the 2 internet fibers providers, ssl vpn, active directory authentication, exchange server protection etc etc...

 

And now I wonder if I could backup and restore the config from the XG210 to a XG135 with 100% compatibility or not?

    • You can do a backup-restore from an appliance with equal or lower number of interfaces to an appliance with equal or higher number of interfaces but not the other way around.
    • Flexi ports have no impact on the interface count during the backup-restore process
