SSL VPN Configuration Without Static Public IP Address from ISP

 Hi All,

 

I have a query regarding configuring SSL VPN for remote access to my network. But I have no Static IP from ISP. I am using a Broadband connection which provides me with a Public IP Dynamically (DHCP). Can I possible to create SSL VPN without a Static Public IP? If Possible Can Anybody provide me a guidance?

  • Hi,

    Use Dyn DNS and use on XG the "overwrite Hostname" option.

    With overwrite hostname, you can use a alternate IP/DNS record to connect to the XG. 

    So use dynDNS to map your current ip to a fixed DNS record and connect the Client to this record.

    You may use Dynamic DNS that Sophos is currently providing for you to be able to configure and use SSL VPN Remote Access  . See format below:

     

    <Hostname>.myfirewall.co
