Overview

The product team is pleased to announce the following updates for Sophos switches The first is Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) management from Sophos Central. The next is Maintenance Release (MR) 02.1.1837 for all Sophos switch hardware.

STP Settings from Sophos Central

Sophos Central now provides management for the Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) features for Sophos switches. For additional information on the configuration management for STP please visit the Sophos Central STP Configuration Guide.

STP management is available on the Port Settings > STP page.

This (MR) 02.1.1837 release includes the following bug fixes.

Issue Key Summary
NSW-8087 The switch GUI allows browsing of the available GUI resources from a browser without any authentication. In this case, the file access was limited to read-only.
NSW-7758 MAB Fallback was not working when configured in hybrid mode, only 802.1x attempts were seen.
NSW-7197 When the Sophos switch was set to use MSTP, we saw issues with MSTP not working as expected with Sophos XG/XGS firewalls configured in HA and using bridge mode.
NSW-7095 We addressed an issue where the Sophos switch responded to an ICMP Timestamp Request.
NSW-7093 When enabling DHCP relay on Sophos switches, we saw that the switch would block DHCP requests between hosts connected directly to the switch.
