I am having trouble getting the SMC EAS proxy to work. When I run the configuration wizard and enter 443 or 80 for the port, I get an error message saying the port is already in use. What port is this field asking for? I assume 443 to talk to Exchange Server CAS. The SMC installation/administration/technical guides are not very informative, and I have searched the KB, so I am asking my question here before I contact Sophos support. I called Sophos support to resolve this issue. The problem is I was using the External EAS Proxy config wizard. I ran the SMC Config wizard to setup the EAS proxy. After this I was able to test ActiveSync using the proxy on a mobile device and everything worked beautifully. Problem solved. Thanks, Sophos support!
