Different iOS-Profiles for private and business Devices of same user

Hi there,

I don't get one point: When I register my iphone to the ssp I can decide whether it's a private device or a business device. Depending on that decision I want to apply different iOS-Profiles (mailserver a for private, mailserver b for business). But I don't unterstand where I can choose those different Profiles. Who can get me on the road? Did I overread something in the manual?

cheers

Detlef

  • Hi Detlef,

the setting regarding private and company devices is only required for the compliance criterias as company devices might have more restrictive compliance configuration than personal devices.

Right now, SMC does differentiate between company and private devices when registering via the SSP.

So one user will always get the same tasks / profiles independent who the device belongs to.

You can only apply different tasks / profiles to different LDAP user groups. For the scenario you describe, there is already a feature request open which you can vote for. You find it here.

    Hope this helps!

    Best regards
    Stefan
