My App protection is not prompting for password to access settings on android despite being configured to do so. I would like it to prompt of a password before allowing settings to run....(it use to do it but after a phone wipe and re-load nada)

My App protection is not prompting for password to access settings on android.  HTC M8 OS Ver 5.01 HTC 6.0.  It does prompt for any app I have selected and the play store, but I can access settings without an issue despite it being selected as something to protect.  Any way to fix this?  I have tried uninstalling and re-installing etc...
