Update Version 8.5.2765 Broke The Navigation Menu

Yesterday (8/1/18), on an Android 6.0.1 phone, installed above Sophos update in Google Play Services, afterward  could no longer access MOST menu options in Sophos!

For example when I try to access Scanner (or ANY Live Protection features, Privacy & Security Advisor Security Tools, and ALL Misc options except Help), a pop-up appears at bottom of main Sophos screen:

"You can use this feature as soon as the database has been initialized.  This might take a minute."

Like the Android Lollipop user in July, I've tried various things, but nothing works.

I do not think I can uninstall then re-install Sophos since I've enabled device encryption feature.

Is there a way to fix problem other than uninstalling then re-installing Sophos app?
