Our team are hard at work on the next version of Sophos Mobile. Here’s a preview of the coming features you can look forward to.
Sophos Mobile 9.7 will be available for Sophos Central, Sophos Mobile on-premises and Sophos Mobile-as-a-Service customers. This version adds greater support for iOS BYOD environments, along with additional Android Enterprise configuration options. It also sets up some further exciting features in the following months. Changes to supported OS versions
In this version we end support for a number of older operating systems. The following operating systems will no longer be supported:
Additionally, new Android 10 devices and above now need to be enrolled using Android Enterprise. Enrolling these devices using the legacy ‘Device Admin’ mode will fail. Please see this article for more details on Google's deprecation of 'Device admin' mode.
Planned release date
The Sophos Mobile apps are beginning roll out during April, with the server release to follow shortly afterwards.
Hello Johann. Thanks for your message. We have identified an issue with Sophos Secure Workspace and are currently testing a fix.Update - the fix has now been deployed.
Issue happens on Android devices legacy or work profile mode.
Since Sophos Mobile has been upgraded to V9.7, PDF, Word and Excel attachments of emails cannot be opened/viewed anymore within Sophos Secure Email, if policy is set to view attachments in container apps. Either nothing happens at all or black screen is shown. Seems to be a problem of Secure workspace.
