Overview installed Endpoint Program Version

Is there a way to see an overview of the current installed Endpoint Version over all servers by dashboard instead of clicking one server by another?

I can't find any report or dashboard for this.

I got a messae that server did not received to latest Endpoint Version but I can't see which server ar affected. To check over hundred servers one by one manually takes a little bit to much time and developing a script is not really what I'm looking for.

If an upgrade fails, the server's health should change from GREEN so you could filter on that. If you want to see the specific installed versions, you would have to use a Live Discover query.

Threat Analysis Center > Live Discover > Endpoints > Windows Programs

This query polls the computers selected and pulls up all installed products and will show you the version numbers.

Thanks for answering my question. Unfortunately, is this not really handy. Is there really no way to show an overall overview of the current installed sophos endpoint version on the dashboard? Like a column current installed version and latest available version?

Apparently there is no way to better control the upgrade process of the endpoint installation. Automatic upgrade is always tricky, especially for critical systems. Too many bad experiences.

Is Sophos aware of this and coming up with a solution soon?

  • btw. The server's health status is also green if an older version that is still supported is installed. However, it does not show whether the latest version is installed or not

There is a new update management system coming soon. Once we have more information, we will announce it for users.

I requested a statement from PM:

“We’re improving how you can roll out new software versions and also report on what version all your endpoints are running and any issues they have.

This project will be delivered in stages, with improvements to how to roll out versions starting early next year (ETA January for Windows computers) and improved reporting coming later (ETA mid year).

The report will display and allow filtering/sorting based on:

    • the endpoints assessment of whether it has any sustained updating issues (downloading or installing an update). It will suppress common transient issues to help admins focus only on issues that need their attention
    • the date/time of the last successful install (including the frequent supplements)
    • the specific software version installed.

So you can generally look at the updating status to identify issues, or look at last install time/reported version to further check for any issues the endpoint itself can’t identify.”

  • Hi RichardP
Thanks for the clarification and the info. Then we hope for a successful implementation.

I don't understand why Sophos has not implemented such a base feature earlier. Always implement new security features and forget to improve visability and usability for existing once is not everytime a good strategy.
