Greetings Reflexion Partners:
As part of Reflexion’s archiving service (RADAR), users are able to perform detailed searches of their Inbox and Sent Items. There are three search options:
1) Power Search – From the user interface, click on “Power Search” on the top menu. From there, a user will be able to perform a search of their email that is To/From a particular address or domain, within or between a specified time frame, and look in the content of the subject, body or header. Furthermore, the search results can then be filtered with/without attachments. Users can then save the search so they can perform this query in the future without having to manually retype the search criteria. If a user wants to perform a search of attachments, they can do so by changing “Email” in the drop-down at the top of the Power Search page to “Attachments”, where they can now search file name by file type, or search in the content of specific file types, e.g. Word, Excel, etc.
2) Builder – This search function will allow users to build a more advanced query to search multiple To/From addresses or domains, and search for keywords or phrases in the subject, body or attachment that match, starts with or sounds like the content. Users can also “Save” the Builder query for future searches. If a user wants to build a query and search the attachments, they can do so by changing “Email” in the drop-down at the top of the Power Search page to “Attachments”. The Builder will allow additional functionality to search the Subject or Body AND file name by file type, or search in the content of specific file types, e.g. Word, Excel, etc.
3) Code – For more experienced users, the Code search can be used to type in a query and perform a search. Code searches can also be saved in order to run the same search in the future.
Once a search is saved from the Power Search, Builder or Code option, users can then Schedule a Saved Search to be delivered to their Inbox on a Daily, Weekly or Monthly basis on a specific delivery time and day, and sorted either by relevance or timestamp. Users can benefit greatly by using this feature for sampling email communication, reporting on communication by individuals on their staff that they may have administrative archive controls over, or by having the entire archived search (requires administrative privileges) to look for keywords of employee communication, for instance “Resume”.
