Unfortunately, SFOS 18.0.6 MR-6 has no upgrade path to 18.5.1 MR-1. We recommend to check release notes for upgrade compatibility details. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Manually Applying Firmware Updates - Upload and boot: definition is incorrect or misleading

Under section 'Upload and move to a compatible version'

#3, section that reads Upload and boot: Uploads the firmware. Sophos Firewall closes all sessions and restarts with the new firmware version.

- what I have experienced 2 times now, when upgrading from SFOS 18.0.6 MR-6 to SFOS 18.5.1 MR-1, is whether you choose upload or upload and boot, the same outcome happens, the device applies and boots to factory default configuration of the newer version, while the wording suggests, and indicates based on this documentation, that it applies and boots the new version with the current configuration.  After the second time, I feel like this may be a bug, because why would both buttons have the same outcome?  Also, both XGs were done the same way with the same outcome, both were XG125s, both upgrading from 18.0.6 to 18.5.1
