In the UTM, WebAdmin is a GUI that uses confd-client to modify setting and object databases. The config daemon writes the actual code that runs the UTM.
ManBearPig said in another thread that there's no config daemon in XG.
Perhaps a clearer explanation of what's happening under the covers would give insight into how to think about what makes an efficient, elegant XG configuration.

Hi BAlfson
Thanks for your submission.
I'll forward your request over to our team for feedback, however I don't believe this type of article into the framework of the OS will be created into a public KBA.
For insight and suggestions on improving the XG configuration for your network, I would advise to speak to our Professional Services team. Note that we also offer XG technical training for partner certificates.
In regards to your XG config daemon question: On a basic level, the CSC service is the central service that manages all the services, and also assists with the necessary changes to the tables in the back-end (Ex: GUI configuration changes).
Regards,
