Port scan detection

Hello,

i am using the trial version of Sophos Enterprise Console and I try to do some port scans (TCP-SYN- and TCP-Connect-Scan) on the client with nmap from another client which is running Kali Linux.

Is there a way that Sophos Enterprise Console can detect a port scan and then give the user an alert about that?

Unfortunately, Sophos Enterprise Console cannot detect a port scan, but Sophos UTM can. Please refer to the article Understanding PortScan Detection and what is Sophos UTM, for your reference.
