Sophos Setup/Configuration on Windows 2003 R2 Questions

Does anyone have experience with installing/configuring Sophos? We have Sophos Enterprise Console ver 4.5.1.0 installed.

Our sever is running 2003 R2, we have DFS volumes that also replicate and we would like to know how people have set up Sophos to scan DFS volumes.

    We use DFS but not (no longer) replication as we don't need it so I have no recent experience. But the following might help:

    Microsoft's Virus scanning recommendations article only deals with issues caused by scanning and not with the impact of potential subsequent actions (i.e. block or delete). It describes itself as "unrecommended workaround". For or more practical discussion see this TechNet article which is, I think, fairly good considering the complexity of this subject.
