Tips for configure policy for Backup

Question

Good morning, I need some advice about using the sophos server, and backup issues. 
 Just installed, and at first backup I noticed that the system is slower than about 5-6 times before. I'm currently using the policy base, but I think that's definitely not okay. 
 The biggest problem is with the fileserver, and the database. How do I recommend setting up the policy?

 full backup means that all data is read and written, and from a process running on the server? 3 times seems nevertheless excessive unless the server is then also overloaded. 
 Dunno if you (still) can turn off real-time protection, but even if you deselect only on write you should notice an impact. As your backup takes some time anyway it'd be better to set a process exclusion for the backup process(es). Real-time doesn't explain the increase for the database backup though as this normally involves only a few files. Are you running the backup in parallel?
