On October 15, 2024, the EOL date will be reached for our first Long Term Support (LTS) packages:

  • Windows Endpoint
    • LTS 2023.0.0.2
    • LTS 2023.0.0.3
  • Windows Server
    • LTS 2023.0.0.2
    • LTS 2023.0.0.3

Note: LTS packages are only intended for critical devices with strict change control.

If you are using LTS packages to provide additional time to patch your OS for Azure Code Signing (ACS) and have not patched, action is required.

As of October 15th, 2024, devices continuing to use the packages mentioned above will stop receiving security updates and will not be protected against the latest threats.

If you update your device to a more recent LTS package, you may find that Sophos fails to install due to the ACS requirement. To support this requirement, it is necessary to patch your OS. We suggest checking the section titled "How can I check which Microsoft Updates have replaced the ones referenced under Impacted Operating Systems?" in the Sophos article regarding ACS linked above.

Note: Microsoft patches for ACS were initially released in October 2021. OS' that cannot be patched for ACS are unsupported.
