Modifying proxy settings

Question

I regularly use my Mac in an environment that requires me to manually authenticate against a proxy server. The default proxy configuration therefore makes it impossible to update while I'm in this environment. I would like to change these settings, but the proxy configuration selector is grayed out on the preferences page. Is there some other way to modify these settings?

SAV HE takes the proxy settings as set by the OS, and always updates from the primary location with a generated username/password.  In order to modify these settings, you need to be using the Enterprise product. So, to manually authenticate, just go to <apple>->System Preferences->Network->Advanced...->Proxies and select your manual proxy settings. :1004077
