Bitlocker Encryption is not starting on a Windows 7 Pro machine

I get the pop up box saying Sophos Safeguard has been configured to encrypt your C: drive,

there is a usb drive attached to save the startup key to;

but when i click on save and restart no key is saved to the USB stick and the machine never reboots

    Hi Paul,

    There is no BitLocker on Windows 7 Pro, please upgrade to the Enterprise / Ultimate editions to get BitLocker.

    If you want to upgrade to a newer operating system Windows 8.1 Pro / Enterprise and Windows 10 Pro / Enterprise / Education all come with BitLocker.

               Thanks for the reply,

                just for clarification, when you do a custom install of the client and you select Bitlocker instead of full drive encryption that still requires a version of Windows 7 above Pro?
