how to immediately stop email notification if there is a false positive detection

Hi, 

today we noticed a false positve attack IPS protection. 

Around 4,2k attacks from one source was recognized by the XG "as FILE-PDF Adobe Acrobat ImageConversion PCX Parsing Out-Of-Bounds Write"

The adobe acrobat reader is up to date. 

Due to the fact that we have turned on the email notifications by critical IPS attacks we will get 4,2 k emails now?! I turned off the email notification in the gui already. Is there an option stop the emails in queue?
