Hello dear friends,
I have the following question.
On the premises of a small business company is a Sophos appliance installed and works as a router/gateway.
The appliance is connected to the world through one public ip address. Now there is one HTTPS server presented to the world - Exchange 2010 for ActiveSync, OWA, OMA and so on. It has a SSL certificate which was generated by the Active Directory Certificate authority; in other words, it is trusted by us.
There is a domain registered with DNS, in order to make it possible to reach Exchange from the internet.
The address is, let's say, mail.example.com. Means, if you access Exchange by OWA, you enter the following address: https://mail.example.com/owa. There is also a domain autodiscover.mail.example.com available and it is also in the domain certificate.
Now, the question.
I would like to publish an additional web server using the Sophos Appliance, which would represent the web address https://example.com, with a third party SSL certificate.
The problem is, it is still the same public IP address. Means, the Sophos Appliance will have to decide, to which internal server - Exchange or some other machine having a different internal IP address, it has to route the request.
Will this scenario work?
Any help appreciated. Thank you!
