webserver is not accessible using domain

Hello Guys,

I am bit new and using UTM 9.2. I have published a web server which is accessible using public IP example: http://39.89.56.2/vm1/index.php
[:)]

But when i try to access it using domain example smile.com*-*Informationen zum Thema smile. it gives error [:$]
(Forbidden
You don't have permission to access / on this server.) which really weird for me.

Even if i try to access example smile.com*-*Informationen zum Thema smile. it gives the same error.

I am struggling to remove this error since a long time but no joy at all. As sophos is restricting it somewhere but i am not able to figure it out. Kindly could you please help me to resolve this issue.... thanks

Hi and welcome

If you talking about the WAF functionality, this is the wrong forum section ( correct would be here: https://community.sophos.com/products/unified-threat-management/astaroorg/f/57 )

For your problem: Edit your virtual webserver and add smite.com in the Domains list field.

If you use vhosts on your apache webserver, activate the option Pass Post Headers

Hi traxxus,

smile.com already added into the domain.

WebServer is a VM windows 2008 on Hyper-V. Pass Post headers where this option could be in iis. can you please advise. thanks

Pass post headers is also an option on the Sophos UTM WAF. It's located at the desired webserver on the virtual webserver tab.

I just enabled it but no joy at all. what else it could be?

Any other thoughts???

Access over IP ok, but not over DNS. So... DNS (domain) problems? Is there an public A DNS record?

now with IP address it is giving error "The resource you are looking for has been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable."

whereas if i access it using domain it does not loads full page. a few images but not complete image and not even full page loads....!!!!

Adnan, please click on [Go Advanced] below and attach pictures of your Virtual Server and Real Server definitions open in Edit. Also, show us one or two lines from the Web Application Firewall log.

Thank you Bob. I figure it out the problem was with profile. Which has been resolved as i double check everything with publishing and found some weirdo. Which corrected in profile and now all is ok now. Thanks guys.
