The lack of a normal health check for WAF poses a number of problems. I know there is a feature request for some update in this regard which I've upvoted.

However I was wondering if anyone had workaround ideas for a specific problem: upload timeouts.
If an upload through the WAF goes on for longer than the real server keepalive time, the WAF will terminate the connection. I can set the keepalive time to something crazy like 1hr but then of course in a failover situation it will take 1hr to failover to the working real web server.
