Installing Sophos 21.0.0_GA-169 - No USB keyboard

After working through many issues, I was able to install  21.0.0_GA-169.

Upon first boot it asks for a password (I assume it's "admin"), however, my generic HP USB keyboard is not being recognized and I'm not able to type anything. I tried all USB ports (on HP t740 thin client).

I saw a previous post where this issue is supposed to be addressed in 21 MR1 - I assume this version is beyond that since I saw MR1 was released early Feb?
