network card 10gbe sfp+ compatible

Question

Hello, 
 Does anyone know if these network cards are recognized and work and have stable performance at 10g in sophos firewall home edition? 
 ADVANTECH PCIE-2230NP 4 port 10gbe sfp+, Silicom PE310G4SPI9LB-XR-FE 4-Port 10Gb, IBM 00ND468 Quad Port 10GbE PCIe Network Adapter Card P010225-41D 
 according to the manufacturer they use the intel driver 
 I plan to use a mini pc lenovo tiny m720q Core i3-8100T 3.10GHZ 8gb ram 128ssd sata, the space is not the doubt but rather the compatibility with sophos and if it will recognize and work at 10000mbps, I want to know if the options indicated above are compatible. I require it to be 10gbe, low profile form factor, to have 4 sfp+ ports I'm sure that an Intel x710-da4 card would be better but it's out of budget, so I'm looking into those options because they are cheaper. 
 Please, someone who knows, I thank you in advance for the help.

Hi, 
 I fully understand, but the current software (V21 GA) used for build your own device does not support UEFI BIOS and a lot of the newer motherboards only have a UEFI boot option.

Hi, 
 you would be best of to install a VM and then install the XG. With most VMs you can add drivers and then connect through using standard VM type drivers. VM I mean something like Proxmox etc.

 Still... I recommend you to virtualize it. (Run either ESXi or Proxmox (KVM)). 
 Currently on Sophos Firewall v21 GA the Linux kernel is still stuck at 4.14 branch. Most of the "newer" NIC drivers aren't available since the kernel is too old. 
 From your list, I believe only the "Silicom PE310G4SPI9LB" will work out-of-the-box with a bare-metal installation. As it uses an old kernel driver, and a Intel 82599 controller.
