Is virtualized Xg Home 2.5gbps neutered?

Hey all

I know v21 is still using an ol kernel and 2.5gbe is only available via virtualization, but the data sheet specifies a max interface speed of 1000mbps. Does that mean even when using 2.5gbe nic via virtualization the speeds will be limited to gbe speeds? or is it just worded like that because without virtualization it only supports gbe nics?
