Restore from 20.0.3 to 21 GA on XGS118

I would go to 20.0. MR2 with both, do the migration, then upgrade to v21

the xg115w is already on v20.0.3, so down grading becomes an issue. I wonder how long before v21.0.1 Mr-1 is released?

Maybe you have one of the "weekly backups" at the level from 20.0. MR2?

I down graded the XG115W to v20.0.2 MR-2, cleaned up some of the issues I had with the older configuration, created a backup and ran a restore into the XGS118.

All good at this stage next trick is to convince the licence to verify.

Same issue here (different models).  Backup from 20.0.3 MR-3-Build 427 will not restore to v21.  As PhilippRusch showed above, since you cannot upgrade 20.0.3 to v21, I assume that also means you cannot backup/restore between these versions.  We had to take the new firewall down to 20.0.3 (or newer but not v21) to perform the migration restore.
