Hi Sophos Community,

I'm pleased to announce the November update for Firewall Management in Sophos Central. This release includes several features and fixes, including Faster SSO access to managed firewalls from Central (previously announced) enhanced MDR and XDR integration for firewall events (A more detailed post will follow in coming weeks) and removal of monthly billing support for legacy XG 85 and 105 appliances.

Issues Resolved

  • NR-13633 - Resolved an issue where the "Firewall rules" tab was stuck loading in the Sophos Central Firewall group policy.
  • NR-13942 - Resolved an issue where the order of the application filter rules was changed on the firewall after the configuration via template was received from Sophos Central.
  • NR-13847 - Resolved an issue where users were unable to load Application lists and IPS signatures in Sophos Central firewall groups.
  • NR-13740 - Resolved an issue where users were unable to create an IPS rule based on the category of IPS signatures.
  • NR-13658 - Resolved an issue where Sophos Central Partner didn't show any firmware updates.
  • NR-13622 - Resolved an issue where users attempted to create a new firewall rule along with a NAT rule from Sophos Central firewall management, but the NAT rule wasn't created.
  • NR-13445 - We've added a pop-up message to advise users that you can add a maximum of 1000 MAC addresses to the MAC list on the firewall.
  • NR-12032 - Resolved an issue where Sophos Central partners couldn't push template changes to some customers.
  • CFR-3554 - Resolved an issue where report columns were missing when users scheduled a custom firewall report, and generated a PDF.
