Error messages

Recently I am getting a lot of error messages that say "Sophos Mobile Security has stopped responding but a report has been generated to help the developers fix the issue". This is happening every few seconds while I am using my phone.

Hi Philip,

Please help me with the following:

1. What is the version of the Android device

2. What is the version of Sophos Mobile Control

3. Is this a standalone or a managed installation?

Please do share a screenshot of the error message if possible.

Moto G4 - Android 7.0

Sophos version number 7.2.2520 (19)

It's a standalone installation.

I have been using this software for several months but I have only just started seeing this.

Hi there,

I have the same problem here on Android 8.0

Sophos version 7.2.2520 (19)

Standalone

Started with the latest update.

The message appears up to every few seconds while I use the phone. Very annoying.

Update: It seems that this message appears only when I activate a specific app or when I minimize/close it. I can reproduce the message only by opening/hiding this app but not when I run others. In my case it's a game. How about you? Does it appeare only in combination with one app?

I am getting the same error message

Google Pixel

1. Android 8.1

2. Sophos Mobile 7.2.2520(19)

3. Standalone

Also, If I open Sophos and tap on the Authenticator it usually crashes as well.

Same issue here.

1. Samsung Galaxy S8 (SM-G950W) running Android 7.0

2. Running Sophos Mobile Security 7.2.2520 (19)

3. Standalone installation

It appears with several apps for me. It definitely started happening with the last update, I never had a problem before that.
