How to configure gmail as SMTP server in SMC

Hi,

I am trying to use my company's email address (hosted on Gmail) for SMTP server in SMC.

However, I am getting the below error :

Details :

SMTP host : smtp.gmail.com

SMTP User & Password : email address and password of the email address to be used.

Please look into the same.

Hi Suektu,
the built-in mail application of Sophos Mobile Control can only send plain SMTP messages.
Therefore, as Gmail requires an encrypted session, it is not possible to use a gmail server to send error mails to.
An internal mails server is required which then might forward the mails accordingly.

If you want, you can raise a feature request for a future version of Sophos Mobile Control here.
