iOS Exchange config lists wrong email address

Hi all,

Using SMC3.  Have created a iOS profile using the native SMC profile creator.  I have configured the Exchange active sync settings uses values like %USERNAME%.  On pushing the profile to the iphone I found it worked fine with the user just being asked to input their network password.

However on the iPhone under mail account settings the Exchange account email field at the top has one of my email box alias as my email, not my actual primary SMTP email address.  I can only assume its picked that alphabetically as the alias comes before my primary SMTP name.

It isn't affecting email I send out, it just looks wrong on the iPhone.

Any thoughts?

    Hi Swanny,

    this sounds like a wrong varaible was used during the profile creation.
    In general, there are two variables by default: %_USERNAME_% and %_EMAILADDRESS_%.

    So in order to list the email address in the E-Mail field of the settings you should use the %_EMAILADDRESS_% variable.

    In your case it sounds like the %_USERNAME_% variable was used.
