Protection from encryption failed

Recently I installed Sophos mobile encryption. Mainly while I wanted to protect 1 file (a spreadsheet).
The file disappeared indeed from My Files and I could open it by going into Sophos.

Of course I had to open it with a spreadsheet program and I used, for that purpose, Poaris office.
After having made changes in the file I saved it. I saved it on my device.


I was surprised to recognise that after that I (so everyone) could open the file again (without Sophos) from the Polaris menu.

What could be the course of this?

    Hello,

    first of all, aplogies for my late reply. 

    If you decrypt a file via Sophos Mobile Encryption and open it with polaris office, Polaris is not aware of Sophos Mobile Encryption and therefore save it it plain.

    You would have to manually re-encrypt is using Sophos Mobile Encryption.
