Locked Out of App Protection (mysteriously)

Hello to you all,

i can´t remeber that i changed my App Protection Password, but the old one definitley doesn´t work anymore. A lot of features of my phone therefore are "protected" from usage. I have no Recovery Password specified and the Lost & Theft option is not in use, too. The only further password i specified is the SMS Remote Password, but i don´t know how or if that could help. Does anybody know what´s the issue here and / or how i can back full control over my phone?

Please help!

PS: I have already read the other threads on similar topics but haven´t found what i am looking for. (e.g. my password has no special characters in it)

    Hello,

    if the Password for Remote SMS Administration is set and a number has been configured, you can deactivate App Protection from that configured phone. Send a SMS with "unprotect SMS-Password". Replace SMS-Password with your actual password.

    If that does not work the only way would be the Recovery password. Since you do not have that, a wipe would give you access to your phone again (But erase all your data).
