recovery Password

I guess I got the same problem then (pass word) down in the request line of demands for help. And as I can see, there is no solution.

So... I wonder really if it is so good to download Sophos on our Android mobile or Mac if we don't have any solution to resolve a problem. Rather to help... it creates problems and other people will be catch the same way to that problem.

What do you think... everyone?

the rcovery password is used only for the app protection. 

If you want to secure your apps with a password, this should be safe.

To help the users when they forget thier passcode, we create the recovery password that we offer to send via email. So you do not have to note it down.

I have tried the forgot your password link and it asks for the recovery password whihc I don't have.  What else can I do to reset the password or uninstall the app

Do you send this recovery password upon request, or is it sent from the app automatically?

I was recently trying the remote lock method from one of my authorized contacts using Lock Passcode.

The phone got locked, but i opened with my Pin code i use for my device.
The phone prompted me to restart and said that it will send me the new unlock code over SMS to the number from which i initiated the lock command.

But till now i have not received any sms to that device.

And i am not able to unlock with my previous phone pin code. 

Now when i try to unlock my device with the previous command, Unlock Passcode. I am getting a reply stating Error executing remote command or device not registered as administrator.

Please let me know if there is a solution for this, I have the latest available version in google play store and i use a HTC one m7.

I have tried reproducing the behavior you have seen.

After a lock the device did not ask for a reboot. After an unlock however it did send the sms with the new pin and asked to be rebooted.

If the Pin was not sent the only way to unlock the device is by sending another unlock command. 

However, since this is not possible at your situation, I am afraid the only way to get access to the device is by hard resetting the device (this include a wipe!)

This can normally be done while locked by using a combination of hardware keys.
