Is On-Premise Required for SMC5?

Hello,

My company uses Office365, and we try to push that most our clients do as well.

Is on-premise exchange required to utilize SMC5?

If so, is there any sort of work around?

If not, does SMC5 support Office365?

Thanks for any insite on this matter,

  • Hello,

you can use Office365 with SMC.

However, you have to keep in mind that the users could easyly bypass the SMC EAS proxy by adding thier own email profile on the device pointing directly to Office365.

    • I should probably refine my question a little bit.

When I attempt to setup SMTP settings, I get this error when attempting to test them.

The error unfortunately is less than informative, is there a log somewhere I can examine what went wrong at what point? Is there anything that you can think of that would have caused this error?

      See attached file.
